Description: How to treat Mouth Odor. Mouth odor or bad breath, medically known as Halitosis is a medical condition that is caused by poor dental health and sometimes it can be caused by microbes and an underlying health problem.
Unhealthy lifestyles like poor dental hygiene and smoking and a bad diet can worsen this condition. Also, Poor dental hygiene like not brushing your teeth, or brushing your teeth and not scrubbing your tongue or not cleaning your dentures properly can allow the growth and activities of bacteria in the mouth and this can lead to Halitosis.
Preparations: The first thing to do when one have mouth odor is to detox his/her system.
๐You can start the day with a glass of water with one tablespoon of Apple cider Vinegar or one freshly squeezed lemon first thing in the morning.
๐There are good herbal/green tea that also help with detoxification process.
๐Once in a while (like twice a week), you can brush your teeth and mouth with bicarbonate of soda (baking soda), before brushing with your actual toothpaste. Baking soda should not be used often as too much of it destroys the enamel.
๐Soak cloves in water and gargle with while brushing. You can also chew cloves if you can.
๐You can make a tea which is a combination of cloves, cinnamon and lemon. You can take this tea as often as you can.
